The Story:
Their ambitions, the life and place that each generation chose and the work of their hands. The mystery of how and why each of the women chose each one of the immigrant sons. The story ending but not finished in the Bitteroot mountains of Montana in the year of 1957 with the fifth generation, in his mid-teens entering into his own right of passage.

Included in the book White Ash the story of Joaquin, are poems which have become the songs for a soundtrack for the book. These were written by Robert together with his wife Brenda, who also performs them accompanied by Robert on guitar.
